Review of the Coping Trajectory

The Full Picture

The spiral for better coping has been drawn on the TET for the Primal Quests by treating each Quest as a distinct mode of thriving. As the spiral develops, the values of each mode cumulate to form Stages.

The first mode comes into existence without much thought: it is obvious that we have to work. Progress then develops in two cycles. Cycle-1 addresses the need to master the entanglement with reality that is unavoidable with endeavours. Cycle-2 then strengthens the capacity to withstand unexpected stresses. The spiral process can stop at any Stage if coping is judged sufficient.

Progression through the two cycles is driven by competition, social expectations, personal ambitions and aspirations, and external pressures and threats.
